Back in Austin, Again

Posted Wed May 11, 2005 in

I made the trip, not in record time, but not bad either. I left Lubbock about 1430 and was at the Drury Inn in Austin by 2030. I averaged about 65mph and stayed legal (mostly, dear… I promise!) the entire way.

I just got back from a light supper with one of my colleagues who got here about ten minutes before I did.

There are still wildflowers blooming in Texas. The light was not good this afternoon so I did not stop for images. Maybe the light will be better on the way back Friday and I can catch a few for show and tell.

Now to get settled in for the night and get some sleep before the real work starts tomorrow. We have a lot to do in just two days.
