I just worked my way through my first cup of coffee. It was very pleasing to my palate, warm, with a touch of half-and-half, the dark nutty flavor of the coffee offset by the smoothness of the dairy product.
My colleagues are calling and emailing and we are getting work done. We have passed a cusp on some of our research work and the results are beginning to flow quickly now. It will not take much longer and we will reach a critical mass of results that will tell a story about what we have learned. It will affect the way that the sponsor does design work, if they implement the results. (Which, I expect, they will.)
In the meantime, I am going for my second cup of coffee, one of my few guilty pleasures in life. I will then get a shower and make my way up to campus. There will not be much going on there because two of my graduate students are in an inter-session class and will not be in the office. I will spend some time with my Ph.D. student, working on her research and then will spend time working on my own work.
I am in summer mode now, when I have the opportunity to work on my work. I plan on taking advantage of that this summer. I have some things I want to accomplish.
