Two-bit axeThis is an image I made a few years ago of my Father-in-Law’s garden axe. He keeps it out there handy when he needs to do a little trimming of brush. I like things I find around their place—there’s something about the images I bring home from Missouri that is special, at least to me.

I’m up, but barely awake. Water for coffee is on—I’m not making full pots now because I don’t drink a whole pot of coffee; Im’ drinking only one or two cups in the morning. But, I need my coffee this morning. I’ve been bingeing on Aces High the last few nights. I’m not sure what that means—probably that I have too much on my plate right now. But, I don’t think I like it. I certainly don’t like the video-game hangover!

I’ve got plenty of work to keep me busy this summer. I would like a break to get away and not think about work-work for a few days at least, but Young Son’s TexPrep is looming for 31 May and there’s not much of any way I can see my way clear to a short time away before then. Oh well, enough whining for this morning.

I think it’s time to sit down for a few minutes and prioritize my work load. I have a few things I just need to get done. Maybe then I could take a few days and do something I want to. The last few weeks were very intense, between the end of the semester and all the travel. At least the semester is now closed and I can put that behind me.
