I’m starting early!
- Reid’s iPhone must-have list. (This is just for me!)
- The Kindle is an interesting device. A new one is reputed to be in the offing. This will be interesting.
- Sometimes things just work. This is a solution to a problem I noticed awhile back with some of my audiobooks. It was (too) easily solved.
- I’ve been blathering (a bit) about eReaders. Sony just anounced a new reader scheduled for November release. (via dvice)
- Ouch! This chart shows the one-year decline in the Dow Industrials. The 40-percent decline in the value of the Industrials is the largest in history, exceeding that of the Great Stock Market Crash of 1929. The only difference I see is that this market is dominated by retirement savings, where the 1920s market was not. These are rough times.
- I’ve been thinking (a dangerous pastime) about off-site backups. Sugarsync seems like a good service. I’m checking them out.
- Young Son sent me this link to an adaption of Take On Me. Here is the original. Cute. It reminds me of the early 80s when I used to watch music videos with my two older kids (when they still did music on MTV). This was one of them that was playing at that time. Sorry… Maudlin moment…
I’m experimenting with Waula and Dropbox (Waula is open source) – they aren’t geared to be “backup” services, but might be useful to you.
